How to Participate?
Step 1: Choose A Story Prompt
Prompt 1:
The antique bookstore smelled of dust and forgotten stories. I reached for a leather-bound journal labelled “Do Not Read.” As I flipped it open, the ink on the pages shifted, forming new words: "You are not alone." A cold breeze stirred behind me, though the doors had never opened.
Prompt 2:
The train pulled in at the stroke of midnight, empty except for a single suitcase left on seat 12A. No name, no tags—just a ticking sound from within. I hesitated before opening it, but as I unlatched the lock, the station lights flickered, and a distant voice whispered, “You shouldn’t have come.”
Step 2: Continue The Story
You are expected to write an original short story, of not more than 400 words.
The provided prompt words are not included in the word count.
