PSLE English Program - Primary 5 / 6
The Primary 5/6 curriculum is a cohesive two-year programme designed to provide comprehensive preparation for the PSLE by taking a data-driven approach to helping students improve.
We meticulously track student performance through a combination of term assessments and diagnostic tests, and use this data to pinpoint problem areas and drive targeted improvements through differentiated homework packs that are tailored to address individual weaknesses.
Primary 5 Curriculum Focus – Strengthening Core Skills for PSLE
Balanced Focus on Composition and Comprehension
Composition Writing: Alternates between Conflict and Resolution themes, with recaps on Introductions, Conclusions, and Situational Writing (SW). Emphasis on full compositions, targeted paragraph practice, and editing/self-correction.
Comprehension Mastery: Covers Open-Ended, Comprehension Cloze, and Visual Text Comprehension, building inference skills and accuracy.
Core Language Skills Reinforcement
Grammar (Precision and Accuracy): Grammar MCQs, Grammar Cloze, and Synthesis tasks exercises, helping them master sentence structure, verb tense consistency, and proper use of connectors.

Vocabulary: Vocabulary practice is embedded in comprehension cycles, helping students learn new words in context for better understanding and use.:
